Alexander Eyckeler GmbH brings large-volume halal lamb and premium beef programs to buyers across Europe.
Alexander Eyckeler GmbH was established in 2009 after the import business of Eyckeler & Malt was discontinued following its acquisition by the Vion Group. Since then, the company has focused on building a reliable Europe-wide distribution business centered on large-volume meat supply.
Today, the company supplies buyers across Europe and uses Meat Borsa to expand beyond existing networks with a faster, more transparent digital route to market.
Can you briefly introduce your company?
We split off from Eyckeler & Malt in 2009 when the company was acquired by the Vion Group, which decided to discontinue the import business. Today, we distribute our meat products throughout Europe, with a strong focus on large-volume supply to cash and carry wholesalers.
What products do you specialize in?
Our core business is the trade of frozen and fresh halal lamb from New Zealand. With annual sales of approximately 5,000 tonnes, we are among the leading suppliers in this segment in Europe. In addition, we produce beef in Argentina under our own brand, which has become well established in the German market. As complementary products, we also offer lamb and beef from Ireland as well as 100% Black Angus beef from the Creekstone brand in the United States.
Which markets do you currently supply?
We distribute our products throughout Europe.
What makes your product offering competitive?
By purchasing large volumes from our partner, Alliance Group Ltd., we are able to offer competitive prices throughout the year.
How do you ensure quality and consistency?
In recent years, our producer and partner has made substantial investments in modernizing its production facilities and is recognized for maintaining the highest worldwide standards in lamb slaughtering and processing.
What certifications or standards do you operate under?
Every year, our company undergoes the IFS Broker audit to ensure compliance with the highest food industry standards. This year, we once again achieved an outstanding score of 99.14%. All of our New Zealand products are certified halal by the New Zealand Islamic Development Trust.
What kind of partners are you looking to connect with on Meat Borsa?
We place a strong emphasis on long-term and sustainable partnerships, built on the reliability of our carefully chosen producers. While we do occasionally offer spot deals, this is not our primary focus.
Why did you decide to join Meat Borsa now?
Digital advancement has long been established in society and continues to progress rapidly. In our industry, however, sales are still very rudimentary, relying mainly on emails and phone calls, and it is often difficult to establish new business outside of one's own network. The Meat Borsa platform finally provides an opportunity to offer products quickly and across existing borders to a large number of industry peers, transparently and effortlessly.
Main strength in one sentence?
We combine trusted, long-term partnerships with top-quality meat, strict food safety standards, competitive pricing, and modern digital solutions to reach new markets efficiently.
Fastest-moving product?
Lamb legs bone in and bone out, halal New Zealand, chilled and frozen.
What should buyers know about working with you?
Deep market knowledge combined with a results-driven mindset.
Alexander Eyckeler GmbH continues to build on long-term producer relationships, disciplined quality standards, and strong category expertise to serve buyers across Europe with consistency and scale.
