Execution Over Everything
I started in the food industry back in 2001, working as a chef. That gave me a very practical understanding of product quality — not just specifications on paper, but how raw materials actually perform in real use.
Since 2008, I have been involved on the commercial side, focusing on sourcing, trading, and building relationships across different markets. This combination allows me to connect both worlds: what the product needs to be, and what the market actually demands.
About our company, we also work in another fields (tech, defence, eco-pallets...). I joined them almost 1 year ago and they're giving me a lot of freedom and autonomy to choose my targets and deals.
Today, I focus mainly on meat trading, working with reliable suppliers and serious buyers, always aiming for consistency and long-term cooperation rather than one-off deals.
One of the biggest challenges in today’s market is not finding product or buyers — it’s aligning expectations, documentation, and timing. That’s where most deals fail.
For me, a reliable partner is someone who is clear, realistic, and consistent. No surprises — just execution.
If I had to give one piece of advice to someone entering this business: don’t focus on closing deals fast — focus on understanding the product and the process. The deals will come as a result.
Market to watch: Asia, especially markets with strong processed meat industries.
Most important skill in meat trading: execution and follow-through.
What separates a good trader from a great one: the ability to actually close deals, not just create opportunities.
