Introduction
This report brings together the official July 2025 livestock and meat price data published by the European Commission. The original figures were provided in €/100 kg carcass weight, and we converted them to €/kg to make them easier to read and compare. All EU Member States are included where data was available, along with the EU average.
For meat industry professionals — from producers and processors to traders and retailers — understanding price differences across countries and animal types is critical. Prices drive competitiveness, influence trade flows, and affect sourcing decisions. Having a clear picture of where each type of meat is cheapest or most expensive provides a real market advantage.
To help readers quickly spot differences, we’ve marked the lowest price in green and the highest price in red for each animal category, both in the summary table and in the charts that follow. This makes it easy to see where producers and consumers face the highest and lowest costs across the Union.
We will be publishing this EU meat price overview every month, so professionals can track trends, spot shifts early, and make more informed decisions.
