Back From SIAL Paris: Thank You for Stopping By
The team is back from SIAL Paris 2026 after five busy days, with new conversations and a first public showing of Margin, our new trading app.

Martina Osmak
Director of Marketing
We are back from SIAL Paris, and the honest summary is: it was busy, it was loud, and we loved it.
From 17 to 21 October, the whole meat and food world seemed to be in the same place. We spent those days at our stand, 6 JK 067, talking to buyers, sellers and traders from many different countries. Some were people we already knew from the platform and had never met in person. Many were new faces. Every conversation was different, and that is exactly why we go.
The best part for us was simply the talking. We heard what buyers are struggling to find, what sellers are struggling to sell, and how people really feel about the market right now. You cannot get that from a price report. Thank you to everyone who stopped by, shared a coffee, challenged us with hard questions, or just wanted to say hello.

A few numbers from the fair
SIAL Paris is held every two years at Paris Nord Villepinte, and this year’s edition ran from 17 to 21 October. It is one of the largest food trade fairs in the world, and the organiser’s website lists around 8,000 exhibitors from 130 countries.
The scale was planned well before the doors opened. Ahead of the show, the organisers reported that about 260,000 square metres of exhibition space had been sold, 16% more than at the same point before the previous edition. They expected more than 8,000 exhibitors, against 7,500 in 2024. They also said that several sectors were close to full, including meat, poultry, cold cuts and delicatessen, with some on waiting lists.

For us, that showed in the hall. The meat hall was busy from day one, with people walking the aisles to compare sellers, ask about origins and look for new suppliers. Wherever we stood, the same message came back: buyers are looking around, and they want reliable supply and clear specifications. A good price still matters, but a seller who can show what they have, where it is and when it can ship gets the next meeting.

What happens next
A fair is only the start, because the real work begins when the stand comes down. In the coming days we will be following up with everyone we met, one conversation at a time.
If you have a product to sell, a lane you need covered or a buyer request in mind, you can reach us through the platform at any time. You can also ask for a walk-through of Margin, our trading app, which we presented at the fair. The next SIAL Paris takes place from 22 to 26 October 2028, and we will see you at plenty of events before then.
Cheers!
