The current management team was installed in 1996, paving the way for the company's development from a retailer of butchery supplies to a modern industrial butchering facility. In 2003, a branch was established in Dresden and a stake was acquired in sogut Fleisch- und Wurstwaren GmbH Leipziger Land. The Dresden branch relocated to Döbeln in 2012. FEL employs 125 people. FEL butchers 500 tons of pork per week.
